And before you go, we will profile NASA’s experimental plane, called the X-59, a quiet supersonic aircraft looking to revolutionize the air travel industry. We get the latest on ground in the Texas panhandle, as residents there continue to deal with the largest fire on record in the state of Texas. Then, we head to the Sierra Nevada Mountains, where blizzard conditions are slamming the region, making travel dangerous. So now I have a freshly reformatted version of Sierra I plan to stay on for a long time.Today on CNN 10, we head to South Korea and explain why thousands of doctors are protesting on the government’s plans to increase medical school admissions. You’d think they’d just pack that into the installer…! Quality control is slipping at Apple. There will be a new version of iTunes to download. Here’s something odd I found as well: when you do a fresh install of High Sierra with the installer from the App Store, after you’re done do a check for updates. Interestingly Microsoft Office 365 installed alright. I didn’t bother installing Overbridge at this point. Steinberg Cubase - I got it to install and launch but that didn’t matter without my NI plugins. Spectrasonics - none of their stuff is compatible yet (no Omnisphere) Native Access was trying it’s best to install but would eventually freeze the machine (64GB of RAM!)Īdobe - again, the installers I have from work which are gold through the Enterprise Creative Cloud Packager app don’t work. The Komplete Ultimate installers don’t even work. ![]() Update expected some time this month (October) Briefly:Ībleton Live and Max for Live are broken. I went about it probably the dumbest way possible - didn’t check compatibility, backed everything up then wiped my machine and went through installs. Ableton clears that up within a few seconds, but Cubase seems to suffer with after-effects for a lot longer. if I use the tuner on the HD500X, then when I drop out of that mode, the buffers seem to back up and go a bit wacky and I get distortion. Steinberg tell me that Cubase doesn’t support aggregate devices, which is a bit of a shock!Ĭubase also seems to be more susceptible to artefacts than Ableton - e.g. Adding a third (can be any of them) results in that device not showing up in Cubase’s selection panel. With an aggregate device, I get all the Multiface channels, but only 2 of the 3 devices mentioned above. Now, I have 3 RME Multifaces (my main I/O, in a Sonnet Thunderbolt chassis) and those 3 devices above, working reasonably well together.Ībleton Live accepts those 3 devices plus the Multifaces in an aggregate device and it’s all working well so far.Ĭubase is a different story though. ![]() I’ve previously steered clear of using USB audio (as part of an OSX aggregate device) from Kronos, TD30 (V-Drums) and Line 6 HD500X, since I was experiencing pops and crackles regardless of buffer size. For info - I also tried something I’ve not managed to get properly working before, with some success. ![]()

The release announcement was originally scheduled for September 3, 2008, and a comic by Scott McCloud was to be sent to journalists and bloggers explaining the features within the new browser. Chrome was "largely developed" in Google's Kitchener office. Development of the browser began in 2006, spearheaded by Sundar Pichai. Ĭhrome is based on the open-source code of the Chromium project. It also came shortly after the release of Mozilla Firefox 1.0, which was surging in popularity and taking market share from Internet Explorer, which had noted security problems. newspapers stated at the time that Google was hiring former Microsoft web developers among others. In September 2004, rumors of Google building a web browser first appeared. After co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page hired several Mozilla Firefox developers and built a demonstration of Chrome, Schmidt said that "It was so good that it essentially forced me to change my mind." He stated that "at the time, Google was a small company", and he did not want to go through "bruising browser wars". Google CEO Eric Schmidt opposed the development of an independent web browser for six years. īecause of the success of Chrome, Google has expanded the "Chrome" brand name to other products: ChromeOS, Chromecast, Chromebook, Chromebit, Chromebox, and Chromebase. With a market share of 65% across all platforms combined, Chrome is the most used web browser in the world today. Īs of October 2022, StatCounter estimates that Chrome has a 67% worldwide browser market share (after peaking at 72.38% in November 2018) on personal computers (PC), is most used on tablets (having surpassed Safari), and is also dominant on smartphones. WebKit was the original rendering engine, but Google eventually forked it to create the Blink engine all Chrome variants except iOS used Blink as of 2017. Most of Chrome's source code comes from Google's free and open-source software project Chromium, but Chrome is licensed as proprietary freeware. The browser is also the main component of ChromeOS, where it serves as the platform for web applications. Watch the video above for a guide to this, alternatively, visit the original Solid Solutions article here. There are other considerations such as graphics performance and the applications you are using SOLIDWORKS for. SOLIDWORKS cannot run directly on macOS, so first you will need to install Windows on your Mac using an application such as Boot Camp or Parallels. We therefore would NOT recommend this setup above a Windows based professional workstation.Īlthough SOLIDWORKS will run on OS X there are some major considerations to be aware of. However, the limit of this support is that although it will install, it may not run well as Macs rarely have supported graphics cards. We know quite a few users running SOLIDWORKS successfully on a Mac, and SOLIDWORKS recently updated their system requirements to include virtualisation such as parallels. ![]() ![]() ![]() Millikan led to a change in the previous model of an atom by balancing charged oil drops between an electric field and gravity, Millikan proved that the electron was a fundamental particle with a fundamental charge. James Chadwick was a British physicist who is most notable for discovering the neutron, a neutrally charged subatomic particle that partly composes the nuclei of atoms. Now Millikan can figure out the charge of the oil droplets. Learn about Robert Millikan, a physicist who deduced the electric charge of an electron using the Oil-Drop experiment. The first part of his theory states that all matter is made of atoms, which are indivisible. Dalton based his theory on the law of conservation of mass and the law of constant composition. Drops were suspended in mechanical equilibrium. Daltons atomic theory was the first complete attempt to describe all matter in terms of atoms and their properties. Voltage was applied to the electrodes to induce an electric field. First the velocity of the of the droplets were measured. Define the properties of the subatomic particles including mass and charge. The experiment consisted of tiny charged droplets between two horizontal metal electrodes. Robert Millikan Oil Drop Experiment Radioactivity. It works by putting the oil droplet in between an electric field and gravity. Millikan changed the atomic model by giving scientist more time to explore the model, before a scientist named Wilson his model was with a water droplet and it didn’t stay up that long with the electric field so Millikan found a new way by using an oil droplet and it stayed up for hours and the water only stayed up for seconds. ![]() ![]() ![]() G06Q30/06- Buying, selling or leasing transactions. ![]()
